Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 August 2026
These terms govern the use of the VoiceOvya application, published by Inovya SASU. Installing or using the application means accepting them.
License
Inovya grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the application, for your own needs or those of your organization. You may not redistribute, rent, resell or decompile it beyond what the law allows. An application obtained from the Mac App Store is additionally subject to Apple's standard licensed application agreement.
Your recordings, your responsibility
In France, users must inform participants and obtain the required consent before recording.
Users remain responsible for their use of the application and for complying with the rules applicable to their situation, including employment law, image and voice rights, professional secrecy, and the regulations of their country or organization. Recording a conversation without the participants' knowledge may be a criminal offence.
Third-party services and API keys
At your decision, the application can connect to online AI services with your own API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI) or to a local runtime you install. Those providers' terms govern such exchanges and any cost is yours. Downloaded models remain subject to their publisher's license, listed in the application under Settings, Licenses.
Availability and changes
The application is provided as is. Its features change from one version to the next, and some depend on specific hardware, a specific macOS version, or third-party services whose availability is outside our control. We may change or discontinue a feature without this giving rise to compensation.
Warranties
Without prejudice to the statutory warranties owed to consumers, the application is provided without any express warranty that it is error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
Transcripts and summaries are produced by artificial intelligence models: they may contain errors, omissions or approximations, and must not be treated as a faithful record without review. Do not base an important decision on generated content you have not checked.
Liability
Users are encouraged to make regular backups. To the extent permitted by law, Inovya is not responsible for loss resulting exclusively from mishandling, defective hardware or a third-party service. This limitation does not apply to damage resulting from Inovya's failure to meet its legal or contractual obligations.
Intellectual property
The application, its name, its interface and its graphic assets belong to Inovya SASU. Your recordings, transcripts and notes belong to you. Inovya claims no ownership rights over recordings, transcripts, notes or other content created or imported by the user. Users are responsible for holding the necessary rights and permissions for that content.
Pricing
The applicable pricing is the one displayed at the time of download. A purchase made on the Mac App Store is governed by Apple's terms, including for refund requests.
Personal data
Data processing is described in the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
Ending use
You may stop using the application at any time by uninstalling it, which removes its local data. We may terminate the license in case of a serious breach of these terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first: write to hello@voiceovya.com. Failing agreement, and subject to the protective rules applicable to consumers, the courts of Nantes, France have jurisdiction.
